Sherene Shalhub, MD MPH FACS is a vascular surgeon and an associate professor of Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle. She is the director of the Multidisciplinary Vascular Genetics Clinic and her clinical practice focuses on treating patients with genetic aortopathies.
Dr. Shalhub's research is funded by the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and is leading the Aortic Dissection Collaborative. She is the lead investigator for the VEDS Collaborative Research Study. Dr Shalhub serves as the Chair of the National Registry of Genetically Triggered Thoracic Aortic Aneurysms and Cardiovascular Conditions (GenTAC) Alliance Science working group, is member of the Professional advisory board for the Marfan Foundation and the Ehlers-Danlos Society medical and scientific board.
