Peter Monteleone is an associate professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Dell School of Medicine and interventional cardiologist and vascular medicine physician. He serves as the director of the Ascension Cardiovascular Research nationally, medical director for the Seton Vascular Imaging Laboratory and director of the cardiac catheterization laboratories at Ascension Seton in Austin Texas.
He completed his internal medicine residency training and served as a chief resident at the University of Virginia. He also obtained a master’s degree in clinical research while at UVA. He completed cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. He completed interventional cardiology fellowship as well as advanced fellowship training in vascular medicine and intervention at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
Monteleone’s personal research interests are focusing on diagnostics, outcomes and novel device development in peripheral vascular and cardiovascular medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology as well as a fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
