Parag J. Patel MD MS FSIR is a Professor of Radiology and Surgery in the Division of Vascular & Interventional Radiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He served as President of the Society of Interventional Radiology (2022-23).
He has a long history of education and mentorship to trainees of all levels. The Medical College of Wisconsin has an established multidisciplinary vascular practice and vascular training program with Interventional Radiology and Vascular Surgery fellows. He is the Vice-Chair of Education for the Department of Radiology and the Program Director for the Interventional Radiology Residency program at MCW.
Dr. Patel has been an invited speaker at numerous national and international conferences and has authored several book chapters in the field of interventional radiology. He has participated in numerous clinical research projects and national trials. His areas of interest include evaluation and endovascular treatment of peripheral vascular disease, complex aortic disease, venous disease as well as embolization therapies.
