Dr. Zola N’Dandu earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2001, following completion of his undergraduate studies at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. He completed residency and fellowship training in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology at Ochsner Health in New Orleans, including an additional dedicated year in Peripheral Vascular Disease in 2009.
For 12 years, Dr. N’Dandu served as Section Head at Ochsner Kenner, where he established a highly regarded program for Chronic Limb-Threatening Ischemia (CLTI). In 2023, he expanded his work in Florida, advancing cardiovascular and peripheral vascular care in the St. Augustine and East Palatka communities. Although no longer based in that region, Dr. N’Dandu remains actively engaged in clinical collaboration and continues to serve as a resource in the management of patients with complex peripheral arterial disease.
His work is dedicated to preventing unnecessary amputations, with a strong emphasis on research and innovation in the treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD). His clinical and academic interests focus on advancing infrapopliteal and inframalleolar interventions, with expertise in deep venous arterialization (DVA) as a novel limb-salvage strategy. His goal is to expand treatment options for patients with advanced PAD and limited alternatives.
