Lindsay Machan, MD, FSIR is an interventional radiologist at the Vancouver Hospital and Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of British Columbia, and a Fellow at the Creative Destruction Lab. In 2006 he shared the Manning Innovation Principle Award for the development of the paclitaxel eluting stent. His current research interests include mechanical methods of radiation reduction from fluoroscopy and novel excipients for local drug delivery. He has created several innovations most of which no one else uses. He was made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2024.
