Dr. Daniela Branzan has been appointed a full professor of vascular surgery at the Technical University of Munich, Germany, as of April 2024. She currently serves as the head of the Clinic and Policlinic for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University Hospital rechts der Isar, Munich. Originally from Romania, Dr. Branzan completed her vascular surgery training at the University Heart Center Freiburg-Bad Krozingen in Germany before joining the University Hospital Leipzig in 2014, where she became the head of the vascular surgical department in 2018. Her clinical and research focus includes the endovascular treatment of complex aortic diseases, carotid artery disease, and hybrid recanalization of multilevel peripheral arterial disease. Dr. Branzan has served as a principal investigator for numerous national and international clinical studies and has showcased her expertise through live case transmissions at various vascular meetings, earning multiple awards. In addition to her clinical work, she serves as a peer reviewer for several prestigious journals and has presented her innovative research at numerous conferences worldwide.
