Prof. Hasebe is a distinguished radiologist, currently serving as Professor and Chairman of Radiology at Tokai University School of Medicine. He also holds visiting professorships at Keio University Hospital and MIT’s Institute for Medical Engineering and Science. Dr. Hasebe has been a principal investigator in Japan under the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED), focusing on translational research.
He has directed the Department of Radiology at Tokai University Hachioji Hospital since 2012 and has led its Vascular and Interventional Center since 2020. He earned his M.D. from Keio University School of Medicine in 1994, followed by residency and fellowship training at Keio University and Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School/MIT. He holds Ph.D. degrees in Radiological Science and Mechanical Engineering.
For nearly three decades, Dr. Hasebe’s research has centered on vascular interventional radiology, endovascular surgery, and the integration of nanotechnology and materials science into interventional radiology devices. He has extensive experience in preclinical animal studies and performs over 400 endovascular surgeries at Tokai University Hospital.
